Natalie must get her troubled child to a safer place, but when Scarlett starts to hear voices coming from the empty apartment next door it seems she has unwittingly moved them into the heart of danger.

This is her latest book and it is wonderful. A page turner and full of twists and surprises....right to the end.I first read about her and got the first book she wrote. Since the I have been 'hooked'. I have read every one since the first and have been waiting anxiously for this one. I was not disappointed. It is fabulous. I wonder how she does it. She just keeps on getting better.
I can hardly wait for her next presentation. I know it may be a while, but for an author like Rachael, I can be patient.

The Sixth Window DCI Tom Douglas (Audible Audio Edition) Rachel Abbott Rachel Atkins Audible Studios Books Reviews
The book was intense and fast paced, but had a totally stupid ending. It made me angry. The whole time that I was reading, I would have given it 5 stars, but the ending was ridiculously infuriating. I don't know why the author would do that and ruin a really great book.
Fantastic story full of twists and turns. I like how the story is told through different perspectives, but I'm torn on whether I liked the main character or not. She's just not a good mother in any sense of the word, but that's part of the appeal of Rachel's stories the characters are always deeply flawed, and not always in ways that you can tie up neatly with a little bow. The ending was amazing and I'll be buying her next book when it comes out!
Rachel Abbott completely nailed it again with The Sixth Window. The long wait for the book was well worth it. From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed getting to see what Tom and Becky were up to now and I had been wondering where he stood with Leo.
I have absolutely loved and read every single one of Rachel's books. I am already looking forward to the next book which I hope will pick up where this left off. Without a doubt Rachel is my favorite writer!!
****SLIGHT SPOILER*****
This novel was an exciting read, full of suspense and little plot twists that get the reader amped up and charged up with interest. I couldn’t put it down!
The only thing I didn’t like was that the reader never knows for sure who killed Bernie Gray. Tom Douglas states he knows the identity of the killer, but doesn’t say who it is. I have an idea but don’t know for sure.
The plot was polished and interesting. The main characters were empathetic and realistic. The writing was great. The ending is slightly ambiguous, leaving the reader wondering what will become of Natalie Gray. It appears she’ll always be suspicious of Ed Cooper. Natalie went from being a naive romantic to a skeptic.
I’ve read a number of Rachel Abbott’s novels & they’ve all been terrific.
I was looking forward to reading The Sixth Window because I have enjoyed Rachel Abbott's previous work. In my opinion, this book was not up to the author's usual standard. The ending was particularly weak and unsatisfying. In all honesty, I cannot say that I would recommend this book.
Very good story line...keeps you interested. In the end, though, I had questions like "how could they have not known, ie, real estate ownership. Not to give anything away, if you just go along with the story, it is a very good one. The characters seemed real and one moment you were cheering for them and the next minute, you'd be annoyed with them. Story is about a widowed woman and her teenage daughter reeling from the sudden death of the husband and father. Was this a family of secrets or was something else involved? It is frightening to realize how a family's path can be changed so abruptly and then how that path can take on a life of it's own. While Mother and daughter try to untangle what they learn after the husband's death, both are sucked into the same darkness with neither of them knowing who to trust. A good read that will snare you into the story and shouldn't be missed.
I know an ending twist is all the rage, but this one put me in a rage. The main character realizes a final, ultimate act of betrayal and just seems to let it go? The ending did not fit with the rest of the characters behavior throughout the book. I clearly knew who the murderer was as well, and I could not buy into the reaction when one of the main characters knows as well.
This is her latest book and it is wonderful. A page turner and full of twists and surprises....right to the end.
